Our training sessions
Leading well – Skills for managing legal teams
Session one
Effective management and supervision are essential for creating a healthy,
productive workplace that supports mental wellbeing and meets regulatory
expectations.
This training recognises the pressures managers face in balancing people
responsibilities with commercial demands and offers practical tools to help
navigate those challenges. Participants will reflect on their role, strengthen
their people skills and learn ways to create a supportive working environment.
The session is designed to build confidence and help managers, and their
teams, work in ways that protect wellbeing and supports high quality legal
services.
This session is available either as a one hour webinar or as a 90 minute workshop if you’d like more time for discussion and interaction.
Protecting your wellbeing – Balance and boundaries (one hour)
Session two
This training explains why mental health and wellbeing are so important in
legal work. It offers practical tips to help you maintain a healthy work–life
balance, manage work related stress, and look after yourself.

Managing difficult conversations at work (one hour)
Session three
Work relationships with colleagues and clients can sometimes be
complicated and challenging. This session explores how emotions affect
our work and our interactions. Practical tools will be shared to help boost
confidence, respond with empathy, keep healthy boundaries, and know
when and how to escalate concerns.
Vicarious trauma – recognising its impact in legal work
Session four
This specialist training is delivered by Mary Jackson, a counsellor and
former solicitor with extensive experience in facilitating vicarious trauma
training. It is designed for legal professionals who support vulnerable
clients or encounter distressing content and can be tailored to your
organisation. The session helps you understand the emotional impact of
legal work and how to manage it safely.
This session is available either as a one hour webinar or as a 90 minute
workshop if you’d like more time for discussion and interaction.
