Whether it’s giving feedback, raising concerns or challenging unrealistic expectations, difficult conversations can be stressful, especially in the legal sector where hierarchy and heavy workloads can make speaking up feel even more difficult. This training will explore practical ways to approach these conversations with more confidence and support better communication at work.

Delivered by Trish McLellan, Director of Engagement and Niamh Warnock, Engagement and Relationship Manager (both non-practising solicitors), this session gives attendees the opportunity to reflect on the conversations and interactions they navigate every day at work. The session is relevant to everyone across the legal sector. We all face difficult and challenging conversations, influenced by the situation, the people involved and the nature of the interaction

Work relationships with colleagues and clients can sometimes be complicated and challenging. This session explores how emotions affect our work and our interactions. Practical tools will be shared to help boost confidence, respond with empathy, keep healthy boundaries, and know when and how to escalate concerns.
