Gamlins Law Directors to climb Kilimanjaro for LawCare

Two directors from Gamlins Law, a leading law firm in North Wales, are gearing up for an extraordinary challenge to support charity. Ron Davison, the firm’s Managing Director, and Dafydd Roberts, a fellow director, will attempt to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, in September.

The climb, set to start on September 2, will see Ron and Dafydd, along with eight others, take on the 5,895-meter (19,340-foot) mountain over seven days. Their fundraising efforts will benefit Prostate Cancer and LawCare, a mental health charity for the legal sector.

The duo, who are avid walkers, have been training extensively by scaling various peaks in North Wales, including Crimpiau, Moel Siabod, and Cader Idris. Their training also includes recent climbs in the Lake District and regular running sessions.

Ron, Managing Director, shared: “We regularly go walking at weekends and are fortunate to have Snowdonia on our doorstep, but climbing Kilimanjaro will be a huge challenge for both of us.

Dafydd, Head of Criminal Law at Gamlins, added: “We’ve been hugely grateful to everyone who has donated to our Just Giving page so far including friends, family, colleagues and clients. We’re aiming to raise a minimum of £2,000 with money going to Prostate Care and LawCare, both extremely deserving causes.”
