This interactive session is delivered by Mary Jackson, a counsellor and former solicitor with extensive experience in delivering training on this topic. Whilst touching on the basics of vicarious trauma this session will be an opportunity for attendees to discuss and share their experiences and understanding of vicarious trauma in a supportive setting.
It is relevant for anyone in the legal sector working with vulnerable clients or exposed to traumatic images or experiences such as in immigration, criminal, personal injury, clinical negligence or family work. This training aims to introduce and develop an understanding of the concept of vicarious trauma and its potential emotional impact.
